Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Kempton Clean Co. when you book any of our cleaning or pest control services.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the relationship between Kempton Clean Co.("we", "us", "our") and you ("the Customer", "you") when you request, book or accept any cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in / move-out, post-construction, office, industrial, carpet, upholstery, window or pest control service from us. By booking with us — by phone, WhatsApp, email, our website or in person — you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Services we provide

We provide professional cleaning and pest control services across Kempton Park and surrounding East Rand suburbs. A full list of services is available on our cleaning services and pest control pages. The exact scope of any booking is what you and we confirm in writing (email, WhatsApp or our online booking form) before the service begins.

2. Bookings & quotes

Quotes are provided based on the information you give us about your property (size, condition, type of service, access). Quotes are valid for 14 days. A booking is confirmed only once we acknowledge it in writing and, where applicable, a deposit has been received. We may decline or reschedule any booking that we consider unsafe, outside our service area, or materially different from what was quoted on arrival.

3. Pricing & payment

  • All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • For first-time customers we may require a 30% deposit to confirm the booking.
  • Payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted methods: EFT, card on the day, or cash.
  • Recurring contract clients are invoiced monthly with 7 days payment terms.
  • Late payment may attract interest at the prime rate + 2%, plus reasonable collection costs.
  • Additional work outside the agreed scope (extra rooms, heavy soiling, hoarding, biohazards) will be quoted on-site and only carried out with your approval.

4. Cancellation & rescheduling

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the booking: free of charge.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours: 50% of the service value may be charged to cover allocated labour.
  • No-shows or denied access on the day: 100% of the service value is payable.
  • We may need to reschedule due to vehicle breakdown, illness, load-shedding affecting equipment, or extreme weather. We will give you as much notice as possible and offer the next available slot at no extra cost.

5. Access to premises

You are responsible for providing safe, lawful access to the property at the booked time. This includes gate access, parking, working keys/remotes and a working water and electricity supply. Where you provide keys, alarm codes or remotes, we handle them with strict confidentiality and return them on completion.

6. Client obligations

  • Inform us in advance of pets, allergies, asthma, fragrance sensitivities or any chemical restrictions.
  • Secure or remove fragile, irreplaceable, sentimental or high-value items (jewellery, cash, art, electronics, antiques) before our arrival.
  • Disclose any biohazards, illegal substances, firearms or unsafe conditions on the property.
  • Provide running water and electricity. If load-shedding is scheduled, please tell us when booking so we can plan around it.

7. 100% satisfaction guarantee

We stand behind our work. If you're not satisfied with any area of the clean, notify us in writing (email or WhatsApp) within 24 hours of completion with photos of the affected area. We will return at no extra cost to re-clean that area. The guarantee covers the original scope of work — it does not extend to add-on requests, areas outside the original quote, or normal recurring soil that builds up after we leave.

8. Liability & damage

  • We carry public liability insurance for damage caused by negligence on our part.
  • You must report any suspected damage in writing within 48 hours of the service with clear photos. Claims reported later cannot be investigated reliably and will not be accepted.
  • We are not liable for: pre-existing damage; wear and tear; items that were already broken, loose or unstable; damage caused by faulty installation; or items not disclosed to us as fragile.
  • Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the value of the specific service rendered, except where the law requires otherwise.
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages.

9. Pest control specific terms

  • All chemicals used are registered with Act 36 of 1947 and applied only by trained, accredited technicians.
  • You must vacate treated areas for the time the technician specifies (typically 1–2 hours) and keep pets and children away until surfaces are fully dry.
  • The 30-day re-treatment guarantee covers the same pest in the same treated area, when the property has not been re-infested by external sources (for example unsealed garbage, neighbouring untreated properties, or new structural entry points).
  • We cannot guarantee elimination of pests in areas we were not contracted to treat or could not access.
  • Termite, rodent and cockroach treatments may require multiple visits over 2–6 weeks for full colony elimination — this will be explained at quoting.

10. Health, safety & hygiene

Our teams follow OHS Act protocols. We may decline to enter or continue working in any environment we consider unsafe (structural risk, exposed wiring, biohazards, aggressive animals, intoxicated persons, threats of harassment). In such cases the call-out fee remains payable.

11. Non-solicitation of staff

You agree not to directly employ, hire or contract any of our cleaners or technicians (or anyone introduced to you through us) for a period of 12 months from the last service we provided to you, without our prior written consent. A reasonable placement fee applies if you wish to do so.

12. Website content & intellectual property

All content on kemptoncleanco.co.za — text, photographs, graphics, logos, layout, code and structured data — is the property of Kempton Clean Co. or our licensors and is protected by South African and international copyright law. You may share links to our pages freely, but you may not copy, scrape, republish or use our content for commercial purposes without written permission.

13. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, civil unrest, government action, prolonged load-shedding, fuel shortages, pandemics or transport strikes. Where such events occur, we will reschedule at the earliest practical opportunity.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will first be addressed in good faith between the parties. If unresolved, it will be referred to mediation in Kempton Park, and failing that, to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Gauteng.
